Welcome to Scribble House!

We exist to help writters in Western Pennsylvania hone their craft and build their community with things like:

...the next meeting of the Publisher & Bookseller Meet-Up group, which will be Thursday, July 23rd from 7-9pm at Trace Brewing in Bloomfield (or on Zoom, for folks who can't get there in person). This meetup is a free, hybrid event open to everyone involved in making and selling books, literary journals, and other printed creative work. We'll be presenting our next Literary Publishing 101 workshop at the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh - Main Branch (Oakland neighborhood) on Saturday, July 25th from 1-2:30pm. Deets on the flyer:

Our Latest books

As of March 2026, we have two new guided prompt journals:
  • Unstuck! 20 propmts to break through writer's block
  • Creature Feature: 28 monster, cryptid, and animal related writing prompts
We also released our first resource book, A Creator's Guide to Appalachian Cryptids, an illustrated compendium of 142 creatures from across the 13 Appalachian states. You can click any of the covers below to check them out:
